Working in the Central scientific research institute, dealt with a problem of search of submarines from Space. Research experiments were spent in Crimea on Black sea. Here has taken a great interest in collecting of insects when I was 30 years old. At first collected the butterflies and dragonflies brought down by cars for itself in informative - the aesthetic purposes. In due course research Entomofauna became serious employment. Has with that end in view carried out expeditions to various regions and republics of the former USSR: Crimea, Western Siberia, the Far East, island Sakhalin, Chukotka, the Moscow region, pools of the rivers of Don and Volga, the North Caucasus, Kirgizstan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan.

"Perestrojka" in the USSR has led to conversion and to closing of many programs of a defensive complex of the USSR. I have appeared before a choice: to continue to be engaged in space researches or hobby … the Choice remained behind the last. On the other hand, "Perestrojka", has given the chance to leave the country. And in 1991 I have carried out for the first time expedition over border of the USSR - to Vietnam.

Further: CAMBODIA, LAOS, NEPAL, CUBA, SRI LANKA, IRAN, TURKEY, MYANMAR, THAILAND, BHUTAN, CONGO, BOLIVIA, PERU, VENEZUELA. PHILIPPINES, islands: Luzon, Mindanao, Palawan.
