  Specialized Journal of Entomology
The specialized entomological journal Entomofauna with its supplemental and monograph series has been founded in 1980 by Maximilian SCHWARZ and appears in about 500 pages per year. It serves for publication of scientific works on taxonomy, faunistics, biology and ecology from the entire field of entomology. Most of the publications are in German, some are in English and only few in other languages. Until 2017 each work was published as a separate issue. Starting with 2018 the journal appears in two bound volumes. The basic concept of regularly published journal has shown its vitality on the course 40 years. The external appearance (format 16x22 cm) with its recognized logo has constantly been kept, although the design and font have been constantly modified and improved.

Entomofauna – Supplements:




  The Supplementary volumes are published irregularly. In contrary to the journal, which appears in separate issues, a supplement comes in one volume in yellow cardboard binding. All the supplements published to date can be seen in Supplements archive.

Supplementary volumes are not included in subscription prize. They can be purchased separately. Their prize depends on the size of the volume (its ranges from 101 up to 1280 pages). Volumes, printed versions of which are not available any more, still can be purchased in pdf format. See http://www.biologiezentrum.at/de/bz (under „Publikationen“).

Entomofauna – Monographs:



  Monographs are published irregularly. In contrary to the journal, which appears in separate issues, a monograph comes in one volume in light blue cardboard binding. In contrary to the main journal and the supplement series, monographs appear in large size with 21 x 29,5 cm. The series was created for manuscripts with the need for plates in large size.

The first Monograph appeared in 2007 with 6 manuscripts on the family Saturniidae (Lepidoptera). All the monographs published to date can be seen in Monographien Archiv.

Monographs are not included in subscription prize. They can be purchased separately. Their prize depends on the size of the volume.
